Notes for Prospective Students
AEF Schools is designed for students with average to potentially
above-average intellectual ability who benefit from a highly
structured, supportive educational environment. Students must be
independently toilet trained and must not present a significant
danger to themselves or others through physical aggression. AEF
serves students with specific learning, cognitive, social, and
executive-functioning needs who can participate in a traditional
academic setting with individualized support. Our students may need
direct instruction and practice in areas such as focus, attention,
organization, friendships, transitioning, compromise, task
completion, sequencing, visual memory, auditory processing, and
other skills necessary for academic and personal success. AEF is
best suited for students who require a specifc educational approach
and additional support rather than a highly restrictive or
behavior-management environment / special needs program.
