  • Learning Academy's Work/Study High School Program for grades 3-12 exists to encourage, educate and train teens to become capable in high school, college and the work place. Students work on courses of study chosen with each student`s needs in mind and receive direct instruction and mentoring toward success, as needed. Individualized programs may include study for standardized testing, tests for joint enrollment, college credit, and college enrollment paperwork, etc.
  • Independent Study: Using computers, textbooks, and additional texts, students work on their own monitored school materials (chosen with each student`s needs in mind) and in small cooperative learning groups. Courses such as math and science, etc. are directly instructed as needed.
  • Work Study: Each week, students participate in a wide variety of significant work activities and training including office, technical and physical labor. These opportunities are designed to help students learn to work together towards a common goal and expose them to a wider variety of work situations. Each work event occurs during regular school hours. These experiences grow student capabilities, add depth to young adult resumes and provide focus for future endeavors.
