Beit Rabban has been a delightful home for my children for the past decade, and I feel so blessed to have found this gem of a school in the middle of Manhattan. We were first really attracted to the school when we visited a class and saw that the Hebrew instruction wasn't the perfunctory "here's some words" teaching of my youth, but an an engaging class where the kids were committed to deep, thoughtful learning. From the early grades and up through middle school, our kids have been a part of this amazingly warm and open community, and they've benefited greatly from a school that emphasized their strengths and helped them improve in areas that needed improvement. I have seen the impact that the school's thoughtful focus on social-emotional learning through the years has made on my kids as they've gotten older and moved on to high school.

This year ('25-'26) has been our son's first in Gan (Gan Kachol) and our family could not be happier with our decision to join the Beit Rabban community. Our son in thriving in so many respects: socially and emotionally in the warm, caring, and deeply humane classroom environment rich in arts, culture, and music; linguistically under the guidance of two highly experienced bilingual Hebrew-English teachers (an important factor for our secular Israeli-American family); and academically as he learns to read in both languages, develop numeracy, and get a broader sense of the city and country in which he lives. Beit Rabban enjoys the many benefits of being a small community that really looks out for everyone and makes sure all are welcome. This starts at the top with the head of school and runs throughout the entire administration to the teachers and support staff. If you are looking for a welcoming, diverse, and progressive Jewish day school community, there is none better than Beit Rabban.

If you are looking for a warm, welcoming, academically rigorous and deeply Jewish day school community look no further. Beit Rabban is one of the best kept secrets in the New York day school landscape. Its smallness makes it especially well suited to provide individualized attention to kids, with enrichment lessons and extra help available as needed. The Hebrew learning is very robust and our two girls who have been at BR for six years both speak and read Hebrew with ease. Socially BR is just a lovely community for kids and parents both. Our kids love going to school so much- they are actually sad on the last day in June.

Beit Rabban is a gem! We had a welcoming and smooth transition into Beit Rabban from another school for 2 of our kids at different grade levels. We have seen the nursery school (Gan), elementary school and middle school in action, and all are extraordinary. The administration is top notch and attentive.

Finding Beit Rabban has been transformative for our family. It has offered us the thriving warmth of a small town community in the middle of bustling New York City! Beit Rabban has given our children the tools to live a joyful Jewish life, bolstered by academic excellence. The Hebrew immersion program has been remarkable - our kids are genuinely excited about speaking Hebrew and it's become a natural part of how they engage with Jewish traditions. The small class sizes mean they receive incredibly personalized attention from responsive teachers who truly know them, and the school's ability to follow what excites the kids creates an environment where learning feels natural and engaging. As families from different Jewish backgrounds ourselves, we've loved being part of a warm, diverse community where every family is dedicated to Jewish learning and values.

My son is thriving at Beit Rabban, and we could not be happier with our experience at this unique school. Beit Rabban is an extraordinary place, somehow able to create a curriculum where academic excellence, Jewish joyfulness, and social-emotional skills are all given equal weight and attention. The teachers and administrators are thoughtful and responsive to an almost astonishing degree - they communicate quickly and effectively, and seem to have almost magical reserves of time and energy for any and every problem that arises, for every student and family. Thanks in large part to Beit Rabban, my son is learning so much so quickly, is a proud and enthusiastic Jew, and a kind and respectful member of his school community. I wish I could rate this school higher than five stars; I cannot recommend Beit Rabban highly enough.

My three kids attend Beit Rabban, and it has truly been a home for our whole family, a place where our children feel happy, challenged, and cared for, and where we as adults have found community. Having been a parent in the school since 2018, we've had the opportunity to see how the administration responds to the needs of the student body, staying abreast of the current findings in pedagogy for both the English and Hebrew curriculums. The teachers know their students so well, both academically and their social-emotional needs, and the relationship with parents is very much a partnership. The thing that stands out most strongly is how happy my kids are to return to school after vacations, and the sheer joy that is on display at every school event.

Beit Rabban has been a truly special experience for our family. The school manages to balance high academic standards with a genuinely joyful and nurturing environment. We've been especially impressed by the strong, research-based English Language Arts program and the depth of Hebrew immersion, alongside rich and meaningful Jewish learning. The emphasis on social-emotional growth and healthy peer dynamics, all the way through 8th grade - sets the tone for a respectful, supportive culture. Teachers and administrators are accessible, thoughtful, and deeply committed to each student's success. The middle school program is rigorous and engaging, preparing students with both confidence and curiosity. Above all, the community is welcoming and diverse, making families feel like true partners from day one.
