At Breakthrough Academy, we provide an opportunity for children to learn using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, Precision Teaching, and Structured Literacy Teaching. We are the only school in Arizona and one of the few in the nation to use the "technology of teaching" (Precision Teaching) which doubles the rate of learning (typically). Instruction in our small, multi-age classrooms is based on Mathetics (Direct Instruction) which allows us to cater to the unique educational and motivational needs of each student. Our staff continue to trial necessary intervention programs with fidelity until each student finds success and a pace of learning that challenges him or her.
Every educational decision is data-driven. Success is determined by defined, specific criteria so there is confidence about a student's individual progress. When mastery is met, another level or program is implemented. We are confident that our students will perform highly because we only use evidence-based practices. Come for a tour.
