At Catalyst, we view the school's program as an extension of theChristian home and church. For this reason, at least oneparent/guardian shall have a personal understanding of the newbirth of Christ. Parents/guardians are expected to holdmembership and be actively involved in a churchcongregation.Parents/guardians must agree that Catalystpresents a Christian education reflecting Anabaptist principles andshall express harmony with the school's position. For enrollment inkindergarten through High School, grade level assessments will beadministered. The following benchmarks will be considered foradmission: reading and math scores within 5 months of grade levelandwritten communication which displays grade-appropriatemessage and mechanics. Test results which raise concern willbe considered by a team comprised of the administrator, learningsupport instructor, IU reading specialist, and specified classroomteachers. A decision to admit the enrollee will be based onthe school's presumed ability to meet the student's academic,emotional, social, and spiritual needs. In addition, if thecandidate appears to need special services, the decision to enrollwill consider the availability of openings in these programs. Aninformative interview will occur with the administrator, whereparent/guardians will be asked to share their personal testimonyand their desire to enroll in a Christian school. We will acceptenrollment applications beginning inDecember.Ourcurrent patrons are given preference for PreK and Kindergartenuntil early February, and grades 1 -12 till mid-March. Applicationsreceived prior to that date will be added to the class on afirst-come, first-served basis until the class is full.
