Craig School, High School Photo #2 - The Orton-Gillingham Approach is an instructional approach intended primarily for use with individuals who have difficulty with reading, spelling, and writing of the sort associated with dyslexia. It is most properly understood and practiced as an approach, not a method, program, system or technique.

Craig School, High School Photo #3 - Project Read Story Form is a multisensory approach to teaching students how to analyze the underlying structure of narrative text.Project Read Report Form is a multisensory approach to teaching students how to analyze the underlying structure of nonfiction text. This strategy is reinforced when students are taking notes in middle school.

Craig School, High School Photo #4 - Craig Lower students have a variety of activities available to them. The Craig School Badgers play other independent Middle Schools in soccer, basketball and lacrosse. Lower School students may also participate in a winter skiing program at the Hidden Valley ski area. Opponents have included Gill St. Bernards, Montclair Kimberley Academy, Far Hills Country Day, Chatham Day School, Morristown Beard, Mt. Arlington, Harding, and Newark Academy.

Our curriculum is cross curricular, integrated, and designed to facilitate active teaching and learning that goes beyond the classroom
