The tradition of excellence continued for De La Salle Athletics during the 2023 fall sports season. In cross country, Trey Caldwell, who was the NCS Division 2 Individual Champion, finished fourth at the CIF State Meet and qualified for the Footlocker Cross Country National Championships. De La Salle today announced that 50 students from the Class of 2024 have received Sealbearer status at graduation with the California Scholarship Federation (CSF). Classes intentionally provide students an opportunity to build
out their academic acumen and interests while developing the skills
they need to deal with the rigors of even the most selective
universities. For this reason, De La Salle offers more AP classes
than any other high school in its area.
De La Salle embraces the fact that each student is unique and
it believes in providing support that not only addresses the
academic needs of its students but also their spiritual, emotional,
and social needs. It has three full-time academic support staff,
three college counselors, four personal counselors, a Campus
Ministry department, and a Student Life department. It also has
other programs and facilities in place to promote success, like a
dedicated Learning Center, a robust tutorial program, and a
freshman program called Spartan Success. Combined, these services
provide an all-encompassing level of support that is unparalleled
for the high school experience.
The on-campus experience at De La Salle is deep, vibrant, and
intended to foster a sense of student belonging. The young men who
form its student body are from various racila, ethnic,
socioeconomic, cultural, and religious backgrounds, and enjoy a
diverse range of lifestyles, experiences, and interests. Together
with faculty, staff, parents, and alumni, they help form a very
special community. One that is warm, welcoming, and inclusive, and
one that values and respects everyone for who they are and who they
want to become.
By graduation, students have developed an understanding of the
legacy they carry and what it means to be a man of faith,
integrity, and scholarship. Moreover, each graduate takes their
Lasallian learnings and sense of social responsibility with
them.

My son is now a sophomore at De La Salle, and he finds rigor as well as enjoyment in his classes. The positive environment has allowed him to make connections with teachers and students alike. He enjoys being part of the theater program and has made many friends. As a Catholic parent, I appreciate the opportunities for my son to grow in his faith through his religion classes and through the experiences that Campus Ministry provides (masses at school, retreats, reconciliation, etc.). I know that in this safe, nurturing environment that De La Salle provides, my son is allowed to grow spiritually and academically with full support from his teachers and counselors along the way. I have no doubt that we made the right choice in sending him to De La Salle.

I transferred my son to De La Salle halfway through his freshman year after a difficult start at his public high school, and it is one of the best parenting decisions my husband and I have made to date. Even though he entered the school knowing only a couple of other students, he is thriving socially and seems very happy. We have also seen an improvement in his grades despite a tougher curriculum. We attribute his academic progress to attentive and supportive teachers (they offer extra help after school and during lunch breaks), as well as De La Salle's phenomenal Learning Center. So far, we couldn't be happier with how he is doing, and we are looking forward to seeing him continue to grow.
