Elementary, Middle, & High School Non Public School Program:Ages: 5 years-18 years
Del Sol School's offers specialized academic instruction to students in elementary school, middle school, and high school. This program offers structured individualized education, qualified special education teachers, and behavior trained support staff to help students learn to enjoy school and to participate in the school program. Students receive the support they need to improve their independence and skills in all areas. Children show consistent progress on their individual goals and on the content standards. Our classrooms operate with a low student to staff ratio, with no more than 12 students per classroom. All students enrolled in Del Sol School`s non public school program must be refereed by their local school district. Del Sol School provides the following services based on students Individual Education Plans:
  • Academic Services: Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI)
  • Behavior Services: Behavior Intervention Implementation (BII)
  • and Behavior Intervention Development (BID)
  • Psychological Services: Counseling and Guidance, Individual Counseling , Parent Counseling, and Psychological Services
Del Sol School works closely with local school districts to provide all other educational services; such as, speech and language, occupational therapy, physical therapy, etc.

Elementary & Middle School
Del Sol School's elementary and middle school program is certified by the state of California to provide specialized academic instruction to students with a range of disabilities, that includes: Autism, Deaf-Blindness, Emotional Disturbance, Intellectual Disabilities, Multiple Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, and Specific Learning Disabilities. Del Sol School has classes designed for students who have mild/moderate disabilities and those with moderate/severe disabilities.

High School
Del Sol School's high school program accepts students with the disabilities listed above. At this time our high school program is for moderate/severe students who are on a non-diploma track. These students work closely with the adult transition program and learn vocational skills to help them be successful in life. Please see the description below for more information.

Del Sol School School Wide Behavior Program
Del Sol School uses a combination of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to manage students challenging behaviors on campus. The school team consists of a BCBA-D, administrators, school psychologist, special education teachers, and in class trained behavior specialists. The school wide behavior program is the basis of all students individual behavior intervention plans; however, each students plan is specific to their needs. All students are taught to manage their own behaviors and taught replacement behavior to help reduce their challenging behaviors.
