Epworth Preschool & Kindergarten Photo #2 - Our students enjoy a low teacher:student ratio that ensures their well rounded growth
Epworth Preschool & Kindergarten Photo #3 - Science, Social Studies, and Math are all taught through exploration and in small group settings based on mastery, not age. We don't believe in "one size fits all" education.
Epworth Preschool & Kindergarten has been offering play-based, high-quality education to children aged 2-5 years old for almost half a century. Our warm, supportive atmosphere allows little learners the opportunity to grow and learn with joy, laughter, and love through experimentation and exploration. We pedagogy is based on the following statements: Children are unique individuals with varying rates of growth, capabilities and interests.
A child's social-emotional growth is just as important as their academic growth.
They learn through trial and error, play, imitation, participation and communication.
Through the use of our physical space and child-size equipment, Epworth has designed a learning center that provides children numerous opportunities to use their senses, muscles, curiosity and language.
Our instructional goals are to provide age-appropriate activities and experiences in Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, Science, Music, Art and Physical Education.
Qualified teachers implement the curriculum in these areas by using materials and equipment that are consistent with the development of children ages 2 through 5 years.
