Godfrey Learning Academy is a private microschool serving students in Pre-K through 8th grade in the Kyle/San Marcos, Texas area, created for families seeking a more personalized, supportive, and effective alternative to traditional education. With intentionally small class sizes of just 6–12 students, our certified educators are able to build strong relationships with each child, identify learning gaps, and tailor instruction to meet students exactly where they are—whether they need additional support or are ready for acceleration. Our instructional model combines evidence-based literacy practices aligned with the Science of Reading, hands-on and project-based learning, and alignment to Texas TEKS to ensure students are both engaged and academically prepared. We place a strong emphasis on foundational skills in reading and math, while also integrating science, social studies, and STEAM experiences in meaningful, real-world ways. At Godfrey Learning Academy, we believe that children learn best when they feel safe, seen, and supported. Our approach is grounded in social-emotional development, recognizing that confidence and a sense of belonging are essential for academic success. This makes our environment especially beneficial for students who may have struggled in larger classroom settings, experienced anxiety, or simply need a calmer, more individualized approach to learning. Our Pre-K through 8th grade structure allows us to build strong academic foundations early and continue supporting students through the critical middle school years, helping them grow into confident, independent learners prepared for high school and beyond. Godfrey Learning Academy is currently in the final stage of accreditation through the Middle States Association (MSA), with formal approval expected in April 2026.
