School Notes

  • Our vision- "To educate and equip the next generation to follow Jesus and uniquely serve in His kingdom." Each child is uniquely gifted by God, and we want their education to include a rich understanding of their identity and purpose. We model for students what it means to live like Jesus and do what He did. We encourage their strengths, and support them in areas of academic weakness. Our classes are grouped by developmental levels (K-2 for early reading skills, 3-5 for reading to learn and developing independence in learning, and 6-8 study skills, organization, and time management). Middle school students move between a teacher for ELA (English/Language Arts) and history and one for math and science. All students are given opportunities for enrichment (including leadership and community service for middle school). Currently we have a staff of six highly qualified and caring teachers, and two aides for the K-2 classrooms. We use Science of Reading research based practices for reading, and Barton/Orton-Gillingham for intervention.
