Martin Luther School is part of a nonprofit, Gemma Services (legal name Silver Springs-Martin Luther School, which was founded in 1859 in Philadelphia as an orphanage. In 2019, Silver Springs merged with another nonprofit (theVillage) to form Gemma Services.

Located today in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, Gemma Services provides a range of behavioral health, child welfare, and prevention programs, as well as a special education school -- Martin Luther School.

The mission of Gemma Services is to transform hope into action for children, youth, and families who are experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Martin Luther School is a Pennsylvania licensed private academic school, also designated as an Approved ²ÝÁñÉçÇø School, providing special education for students in grades k-12.

Martin Luther School provides a comprehensive program for students who need emotional support. Our school is designed to allow our students to confidently engage in personalized, purposeful learning, joyfully celebrate individual and collective success, and respectfully challenge self and others to grow. Our mission is to instruct the mind, engage the heart, and empower the will. We use a holistic educational approach to address the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of children in kindergarten, primary, and secondary grades.
