Beginning with the Infant Education Program, the New York School for the Deaf supports parental involvement in the child's education.
Career and Transition Services are provided to all students enrolled at the New York School for the Deaf.
In the elementary school, activites connected with career education are infused across the curriculum.
Beginning at age 14, students in the upper grades receive a range of services in this arena, in keeping with the mandate of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
