Northland Christian School Admissions Process & Guidelines
1. Inquire / Visit the school Contact the

281-440-1060. Families can schedule a campus tour before applying.
2. Complete the application and provide all academic
records The application fee is $150 per new student,
and it is non-refundable. Northland Christian SchoolNorthland
states that applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
3. Complete entrance testing Entrance testing is
mandatory for prospective students.Testing is conducted through a
third party, and the Admissions Office provides designated testing
locations. Pre-K 3 and 4 applicants will be administered the Gesell
Test, Kindergarten and 1st grade applicants will be administered
the grade level readiness test, while 3rd12th grade applicants take
the ISEE administered by ERB. Northland's handbook states
that applicants are expected to score at least at the 50th
percentile in the language/reading and math portions of the
entrance examination. For first grade, the handbook additionally
specifies a D-level reading level. 4. Shadow
experience After completing the full application, students
may participate in a shadow day. The student attends classes, meets
other students, experiences the school culture, and interacts with
staff. 5. Family Interview The student and
parents will be invited to campus for a family interview with the
Director of Admissions. The elementary or secondary principals may
alse request a meeting with the family. 6. Admissions
decision Northland sends the admissions decision by email
after the application process is completed. If accepted, the family
receives a continuous enrollment contract through FACTS.
Academic & Conduct Guidelines: Northland's
published admissions policies indicate that applicants should
demonstrate that they are academically capable, physically and
emotionally fit, and of good moral character. The published
criteria include: Complete all required application procedures. Be
eligible for re-enrollment at schools previously attended. Have no
suspension or expulsion during the previous 12 months. Have no
academic semester average below a C. Have acceptable conduct grades
and work habits. Meet the required entrance-exam performance. Agree
to comply with Northland's Parent-Student Handbook and school
policies. Northland is evaluating more than just an application and
test score. The school considers the student's: Academics + Conduct
+ Work Habits + Testing + Overall fit. The Admissions Committee
makes the final admission decision in what the school describes as
the best interest of the institution.
