I am a graduate of O'Connell. I was able to succeed in academics and socially because of the atmosphere and the lifelong friendships I formed and maintain still after almost 40 years. The teachers care and they encouraged us to pursue activities that we wanted to pursue. I was a male cheerleader my senior year at O'Connell and it led to me being a University of Texas Cheerleader for 4 years, one year as head cheerleader and we were 2nd in the nation at the National Championships. My friendships have been life long I truly adore each and every one of them. It is not just a school to learn books, but it teaches you how to grow to be a good person.

This school has a family atmosphere where the academics are the priority. Hard to find the kind of atmosphere where the teachers and administrators care about kids as much as they do.
