Peninsula Montessori implements the educational philosophy of Maria Montessori as embodied in the following principles.
We believe that the education and development of young children is the most rewarding and important commitment we can make to the South Bay community.
Our goal is to provide a nurturing, stimulating and individualized environment, promoting appreciation and respect for self and others, independence, and enthusiasm for learning.
Our philosophy of education is the development of the human being to its fullest potential.
The goal is to provide a specific structure which fulfills the social, physical, emotional, and psychological needs of each child.
The toddler environment allows space for movement, individual work, and group activities.
The design of the environment is proportionate to the child's size.
The children in the toddler program are given the opportunity to develop skills in language, art, music, sensorial, and practical life.
