Overview
St. Edward School was originally founded as an all-black Catholic School on November 18, 1918 by St. Katharine Drexel.
Our mission is "living the eucharistic reality that "all are one in Christ".
We believe that our primary reason for existing is to instill in each child the Christian principles, attitudes and values which will result in a deep love of God, country, and all people.
We believe that we should accept each child as he or she is, yet seek to provide an education that will develop his or her fullest potential, an education dedicated to spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical, cultural and social development.
Acadiana Christian School (ACS) is a premier PreK-12th grade college-preparatory institution dedicated to the mission of "Reaching Students, Building Lives." Originally established in 1984 as Assembly Christian School and transitioning to ACS in 2018, the school provides a Christ-centered environment where academic excellence and spiritual formation go hand-in-hand.
As a member of the Our Savior's Church family of ministries, ACS partners with families to nurture the "whole child"-body, mind, and spirit-through a rigorous curriculum that exceeds state standards and is rooted in a biblical worldview.
