Founded in 2004 and rapidly growing,Sacred Heart of Jesus High Schoolis accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and is a member of both the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) and the National Association of �� Catholic Independent Schools (NAPCIS).Our continuous growthis due to the dedication and superior training of our faculty, our low student to teacher ratio, and the welcoming and inclusive nature of our student community. As a top private school, Sacred Heart offers excellent academics including regular, honors, and AP courses, as well as the opportunity to earn dual enrollment credits. Our graduates have a 100% college acceptance rate and exceed the national, state, and local averages on the ACT. SHJ students have been admitted to a wide range of colleges, including local and state schools, as well as nationally ranked and Ivy League universities.
We understandthe financial struggles facing families today. Sacred Heart has the lowest tuition rate of any private high school in Jackson, and also offers financial aid. Our mission as a collegiate preparatory school is to help our students find opportunities to graduate from college debt-free. We offerFall Sports(Golf, Cross Country, Football, Football Cheer, Volleyball, and Ladies' Soccer) andWinter/Spring Sports(Men's Basketball, Ladies' Basketball, Basketball Cheer, Men's Soccer, Baseball, and Softball).Our teams have won national and district championships, and accept all students for participation. The class of 2022 had 5 athletes recruited to D1 and D2 schools. In addition, our athletes are encouraged to take part in other extra-curricular activities such as performing arts. At Sacred Heart of Jesus High School we know that the principles needed to be successful in athletics can be also applied to the spiritual life.
