With three-quarters of our students boarding and the student body representing 20states and 30 countries, the school prides itself on offering a personalized approach to learning in a diverse and inclusive environment. As a result of the strong tradition of academic excellence, with competitive athletics and a full program in the arts, Saint James School challenges its students to grow academically, athletically, artistically, socially, and morally.
- Saint James is located in Hagerstown, Maryland, 70 miles from both Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Our beautiful, 800-acre campus offers 15 buildings, 9 playing fields, 12 tennis courts, a driving range, and a natural spring (the Bai Yuka). Each weekend, students enjoy chaperoned off-campus activities, including local shopping and dining, museums, visits to major historical sites, and trips to Washington and Baltimore.

Saint James School challenged my son academically for the first time in his scholastic experience. Coming from a public school setting, the difference in the quality of education, the ability of the teachers to actually teach, and the community bonds that exist were all in stark contrast to what my son and daughter have experienced in public schools. Also, in a time where schools are cutting extracurricular programs, we all love that Saint James has mandatory sports, arts, and community service participation. We could not be happier with the school on every level.
