At The Aptos Academy, we believe that every child has a strong natural desire to learn, and the right to exercise that desire.
We introduce the child to a proper study technology and encourage good study habits.
We believe that the child's desire to learn must not be suppressed or smothered by incompetent teaching, a distractive study atmosphere, or duress.
We believe that each child is a unique individual and should be able to proceed at a pace suited to his or her own abilities, talents, and interests; and each child needs to develop the ability to observe, think, and express his or her thoughts clearly.
It is our school's responsibility to observe, measure, and recognize students' achievements, and maintain a positive environment for learning.

Aptos Academy has been a great school for my children. The academic programs are terrific, but the language, P.E., arts, theater programs are just as important and included.

I have two children at The Aptos Academy who absolutely love the school. The teachers are excellent and care for each and every child. The teacher to student ratio is low so everyone can thrive. There are a variety of elective, enrichment classes (drama, cooking, music, art, band, horse club, etc...) for the kids to choose from which are included in the nominal tuition. My five year+ experience with the school has been very positive. The fact that my kids are excited to go to school each day and love learning speaks volumes. I know that the elective experiences, love of learning, relationships with caring teachers and esprit d coeur the school engenders combines to create a singular, unique school anyone can be proud to send their kids to.
