The Astor Learning Center provides a K-8th grade, extended school year program.
Composed of an interdisciplinary team, which embraces the agency`s core values of respect, hope, quality, partnership, and integrity.
We believe the approach in working with children should be strength-based, data-informed, flexible, holistic, family-driven, developed with respect for the child`s perspective, responsive to the child`s input, and supportive of the child`s identity and esteem.

  • The Astor Learning Center specializes in supporting students receiving special education services. The student who requires out-of-district services to meet their academic needs in accordance with each student`s Individual Education Program (IEP). Students who attend our school program have one or more of the following education classifications: Learning Disabilities, Multiple Disabilities, Speech Impairment, Emotional Disabilities, Autism, and/or Other Health Impairments.
  • All referrals to Astor Learning Center are made by the local Committees on Special Education (CSE). Mental health professionals, residential centers, hospitals, and other individuals can recommend our program, but all referrals must come through the child`s home school district.
