Job Title: Middle School Teacher Job Type: Full Time, Monday - Thursday 8:00 - 3:30; Friday 8:00 - 2:30 Work Location: In-Person Organization Overview: Revelation Christian Academy is unlike any other school, and is a true Christ-centered preparatory school with a mission to prepare children for life as Christian leaders. Empowering them to choose spiritual truths over world views, instilling in them the character to build their careers, and commit to succeeding in the plan that God has for them. At RCA we are focused on the Spiritualization, Characterization, and Education of every child. We want to connect families and students to God''s Truth. Our curriculum is primarily Bible based. Position Summary: We are looking for Teachers who are familiar and can adjust pedagogy for grades K-8 as needed. They will carry out responsibilities within RCA values and mission, policies, programs and services that exemplifies the love of Christ in all that they do. Ideal candidates will embody the below competencies in their day to day interactions with students, colleagues, and parents: Heart - Demonstrate a deep Christian love and passion for students Empowerment Adaptable Problem-Solving Creative Independent Thinker Solid Communicators Primary Responsibilities: Timeliness - being on time to work, on time with grades, on time with lesson plans. Ability to develop lesson plans and successfully instruct students Proficient active listening skills to understand and adapt to students'' various learning needs Strong public speaking and oral presentation skills Excellent organization and time management skills Assess and record students'' progress and provide grades and feedback Be creative and adaptable. Ability to accommodate the work to meet the learning needs of all students. Maintain appropriate student - teacher relationships Be able to take direction and correction well Be able to supervise students during lunch, recess, and on field trips. Perform other duties as needed or assigned. Qualifications: Lifestyle that is consistent with Biblical principles
