Good Shepherd Montessori School was founded in 1993 by Karleen and Carroll Wyble to serve families searching for a quality educational and spiritual program responsive to the individual and developmental needs of the child.
We welcome students, Pre-K3 to 12th grade, regardless of race, ancestry, color, sex, religion, national or ethnic origin, or handicapping conditions to all of the rights, privileges, programs and activities of the school.
Good Shepherd Montessori uses the Montessori Method in teaching. The Montessori Method aims to develop the potential of the student by means of a well-ordered environment, specially trained teachers, and uniquely designed learning materials.
The learning materials are categorized into the various areas of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, Science, and Geography.
The tasks are programmed so that each new step is built on what the student has already mastered, thereby building his confidence, independence and self-esteem.
Music, poetry, and foreign languages are a part of each day.
