Heritage Preparatory School

1700 Piedmont Avenue NE
Atlanta, GA 30324
Heritage Preparatory School continues to grow into its vision as a distinctly classical Christian PreK12 school in the heart of Atlanta.
With its second graduating class now launched, Heritage is building on the foundation of its inaugural graduates while continuing to strengthen the Upper School experience.
From advanced academics and rich Western studies to competitive athletics, fine arts, and intentional discipleship, students are known and challenged within a purposefully small community.
As Heritage grows, its mission remains unchanged: forming students who think with excellence, believe with confidence, and live with character.

School Notes

  • School Motto: Think With Excellence. Believe With Confidence. Live With Character.
  • School Mascot: Rams
  • Heritage Preparatory School is a classical Christian school serving students in PreK through Class 12 in the heart of Atlanta. Since its founding, Heritage has remained committed to providing an education that is academically excellent, deeply relational, and firmly rooted in the Christian faith.
  • At Heritage, we believe education is about more than preparing students for college or a career. It is about forming young men and women who know how to think carefully, communicate clearly, pursue what is true, good, and beautiful, and live with wisdom and character. Our classical curriculum is designed to cultivate a lifelong love of learning while giving students a strong foundation in literature, history, mathematics, science, theology, languages, rhetoric, and the arts.
  • One of the defining characteristics of Heritage is our intentionally small and relational community. Students are known personally by their teachers, challenged according to their abilities, and encouraged to develop their individual gifts. Small class sizes create space for meaningful discussion, mentorship, collaboration, and genuine relationships across grade levels. From our youngest learners to our graduating seniors, students are part of a community where they are known, valued, and called to grow.
  • The Heritage experience extends well beyond the classroom. Students have opportunities to participate in competitive athletics, fine arts, theater, music, student leadership, service, clubs, and a vibrant House system that builds relationships across grade levels. These experiences are not viewed as separate from a student's education, but as meaningful opportunities to develop perseverance, creativity, leadership, friendship, and character.
  • As a PreK12 school, Heritage offers families the opportunity to experience a cohesive educational journey in which academic expectations, spiritual formation, and relationships deepen as students mature. Our Upper School builds upon the strong foundation established in the earlier years, preparing students for college while encouraging them to consider thoughtfully who they are becoming and how they will use their gifts to serve others.Heritage graduates leave prepared not simply to succeed in their next academic environment, but to engage the world thoughtfully and faithfully. Our mission is to develop students who think with excellence, believe with confidence, and live with character, equipping them to pursue lives of purpose, wisdom, and meaningful influence.

The classical education approach here is profound. It emphasizes the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty across all subjects, instilling in students a love for learning that transcends mere memorization. The integration of Christian faith into every aspect of the curriculum enriches their understanding of the world and their place in it. From literature to history, science to mathematics, every lesson is an opportunity for spiritual growth and intellectual development. The dedicated faculty at Heritage are exceptional mentors who not only teach but also inspire. They challenge students to think critically, articulate their beliefs, and engage thoughtfully with the world around them. Small class sizes ensure that each child receives personalized attention, fostering a supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. Beyond academics, Heritage prepares students to be leaders with integrity, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose. Weekly chapel services, community service projects, and extracurricular activities all contribute to shaping well-rounded individuals who are equipped to make a positive impact in society. I would wholeheartedly recommend Heritage Preparatory School to any family seeking an education that cultivates intellectual curiosity, moral integrity, and a lifelong love for learning rooted in Christian principles.
