My children have recently made the transition from public school to Catholic schools, and I must say that I am extremely happy with Our Lady Academy and Holy Trinity Elementary School. As a public educator, I have extensive knowledge of the College and Career Readiness Standards for the state of MS. Both of these schools spend time teaching your children instead of preparing them for a state test all year. My children have been challenged for the first time during their educational careers as students because of these schools. My straight A student now has to study, and I am pleased because I feel like she is being prepared to compete in a college setting. College preparations are made from 8th grade and up at Our Lady Academy. Standardized testing is only done for one week total in Catholic schools, and it is a nationally standardized test. The curriculum is so much more advanced and straightforward.
