Mary Immaculate Catholic School, a private school sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame of Toledo, Ohio, was established in 1960 for a group of children classified as educable mentally retarded.
In 1974 the student population began to change, and by 1978, the complete school program was transformed into a specialized academic setting for the child with unique learning needs.
A year after Ladyfield School closed, Mary Immaculate School moved into that building.
This gave us additional space and the ability to add and improve programs.
Since students learn differently, Mary Immaculate School specializes in providing a learning environment ideal for those who do not experience success in the traditional classroom.
Mary Immaculate is another option for students who fall between the cracks.
