This school is excellent. Overall I give the immersion program 110%. My child started in 1st grade during 2016 and was a very shy and timid girl. Over the year her self esteem has grown 10 fold and she loves performing at the schools recitals and continuously speaks about her friends. She has also flourished in her personality and self confidence within her first year at the school. By the end of the semester her Spanish was very fluent (NOTE: We are not a Spanish speaking family). During the last few months of her 1st grade year we had Spanish friends who came by and she was speaking very fluently with them at a beginners level. By no means am I saying she was as fluent as a Spanish native child, however she could hold a simple conversation with one if she were to.The homework load is not overbearing and it is not too simple. I feel that the homework load is just enough to keep her up to speed with topic areas. In regards to the Spanish homework, my child (1st grader) was doing it on her own after the 3rd month of her first year. I periodically helped her with dictionary searches, but she wrote all answers on her own in Spanish. I genuinely could not help her after the 3rd month, she was past my level of understanding in the Spanish language.Very friendly and family oriented staff. Your child is their child. I can tell the teacher genuinely try to bring out the best in the children.

We are two months in to our second school year at MIDS. I am overjoyed at the academic and social progress for my daughter. She continues to read above grade level in BOTH languages and has truly embraced the Spanish language. The teachers are fabulous and Ms. Esther is committed to developing well rounded students.

I entered my child fall 2012. Best decision I could have made. He is K. In 5 wks is reading, spelling and has an amazing Spanish vocab. He also is learning cursive. The teachers are loving, compassionate but no nonsense. The older students nurture and help the younger kids. The parents are very active. The new facility is clean bright and inviting. I''m all smiles when I see how much my child has grown academically , socially, and culturally.
