Meridian Academy, originally founded as St. Michael's Learning
Academy (SMLA) in Houston, Texas, in December 2008, has proudly
supported over 2,000 students in earning their high school
diplomas.
Under the leadership of Co-Founder and Principal Christine
Aboud and Co-Founder and Director of Instructional Programs Zack
Zakhem, the school has evolved significantly over the past 16
years.
In 2020, inspired by Zack's vision to expand globally, we
rebranded as Meridian Academy.
Today, Meridian Academy is a globally accredited private,
standards-based online and hybrid middle and high school based in
Houston, Texas.
We are committed to helping students achieve their educational
and career goals through a technology-driven curriculum in a
dynamic digital learning environment.
