School Notes
- Exciting news! Midcities Montessori is proud to announce that we will be transitioning to a Continuous Learning Calendar for the 2023-2024 school year! This innovative schedule offers many benefits to our students and staff, and we can't wait to see the positive impact it will have on our school community.By implementing a Continuous Learning Calendar with a shorter summer break and more frequent breaks throughout the year, our goal is to see students retain what they have learned and to provide them with more opportunities for enrichment and experiential learning on a grander scale. Our priority is to provide the best possible education for our students and the best work environment for our staff. Because of the lasting effects of learning deficits during the COVID-19 shutdown, and an average of 11+ weeks off during the summer, the traditional school calendar no longer makes sense for the modern student. Additional benefits to our teachers, allowing them to balance their academic work with other important aspects of their lives, giving them more opportunities for planning and personal time throughout the year. We believe that education should be engaging, inspiring, and enjoyable. That's why we offer a holistic approach to education that focuses on developing the whole student, including their social, emotional, and physical well-being. Our small class sizes and student-centered approach allow us to tailor our curriculum to the unique needs of each student, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive. The Continuous Learning Calendar is another piece of that puzzle. We still have a few spots available for students in grades Pre-K through High School and are currently scheduling tours with open enrollment. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to join our school community and experience the benefits of a Continuous Learning Calendar!
