Potomac Glen Day School, originally Potomac Child Care Center, was established in September 1992 by Angela Tranquill.
In March of '94, PGDS was certified by the Maryland State Department of Education as a non-public school.
PGDS is located in the Parish House of the Potomac United Methodist Church at the intersection of Falls road and South Glen.
PGDS believes a child learns best through experience. There is no right or wrong way to do an activity.
Our teachers demonstrate and then the child is free to copy the example or create a new and unique outcome.
Our classrooms are set up for a traditional style of learning, where children are being educated while they are having fun.
We provide a sound, safe and secure environment that will enable the child to develop both educational and social skills, promote self-concept, and encourage a sense of responsibility and an increasing sense of independence.
We are a Christian school that teaches Christian values and the golden rule. We are a welcoming school and want EVERYONE at PGDS. You do not need to be Christian to attend and be a member of our community.
Tuition starts at $220. We have 2, 3 and 5 day schedules. Full day and half day. Special discounts for military, siblings and early registration.
