Ruffing Montessori School dedicates itself to providing a quality Montessori education for children aged three through fourteen.
The school, founded in 1959, has been a pioneer in the Montessori approach to education in Ohio and in the United States.
Ruffing was the second Montessori school in the United States at both the pre-primary and elementary levels.
In 1977, Ruffing became the first Montessori school in Ohio to be accredited by the state to operate through the eighth grade.
The academic program at Ruffing flows from nine different learning areas.
Of the nine, three are pre-primary level classes for children aged three through six.
The elementary is composed of two classes for first, second, and third grade students and two classes for fourth and fifth grade students.
The middle school is divided into one class for sixth grade students and one for seventh and eighth grade students.
