The staff of three sisters and one lay teacher taught grades one through eight.
There were two grades per classroom until 1969, when the North wing was added.
The current Family Center Building, which also serves as the school cafeteria, had previously served as the Church until the current church was built and dedicated in 1981.
Our Mission Statement uses the word catholic to describe our purpose: Christ centered Academics Taught with Hope, faith and love, in cooperation with Our families by intertwining our Learning and lives In our ever changing Community and world.
St. Joseph Catholic School promotes the teachings of the Catholic Church and instills in our students a profound and personal spirituality.
Education is one of the most important ways by which the Church fulfills its commitment to the dignity of the person and the building of community.
The school seeks to provide a unique setting where spiritual, academic, and social growth is realized within a faith community.
The school develops Catholic values and attitudes within our students and places emphasis on their responsibility to bring Christ to others. This is accomplished through the faculty and staff being responsive to the needs of the students, empowering them with skills and factual knowledge that stimulate creative thinking, and by uniting with the community in prayer, work, and love.
