STARS Academy Photo #3 - We provide our students opportunities to highlight their learning in public through family events, presentations, and publications. Our students are empowered to take on responsibility, advocate to affect and create change, and develop a sense of self.
STARS Academy Photo #4 - Our students engage in flexible, mixed-age groupings. Flexible, mixed-aged groupings means that students are grouped by their ability or need in a subject, rather than their age. Through a small group environment, teachers utilize formative assessment to guide the group's pacing.
STARS Academy Photo #5 - Our athletics program at STARS Academy offers a competitive flag football team that provides students with the opportunity to compete against other schools, building both skills and character. Through rigorous practices and challenging games, our athletes learn the importance of teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship, pushing each other to reach their full potential on and off the field.
STARS Academy Photo #6 - Our dance team at STARS Academy is a vibrant part of our school community, providing students with a creative outlet to express themselves through movement. Focused on fostering creativity, self-confidence, and teamwork, our dancers work together to develop routines that showcase their unique talents and passion for the art. The team encourages students to explore their artistic abilities while building friendships and enhancing their physical fitness.
Families are drawn to STARS Academy for several key reasons including our small class sizes and low student-teacher ratio, something which fosters wonderful interaction between children and teachers.
Parents looking for a place where their children will be appreciated and appropriately challenged will find a home at our school.
We engage students in all academic subjects with a musical theater emphasis guiding the curriculum.
Students work at their appropriate instructional level, regardless of age.
Additionally, we focus not only on academics but also on social-emotional development.  We maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio of 1:7.
