Notes for Prospective Students
Knox is designed for bright, curious, self-motivated learners,
including gifted, twice-exceptional, and neurodiverse students, who
are ready to engage independently in a collaborative learning
environment. We welcome neurodiverse learners and have many
students with ADHD, giftedness, and 2e profiles who thrive here.
Our small classes and trained faculty provide meaningful support
and differentiation, though we are not a 1-to-1 model. Students who
thrive here are those who can sustain attention with appropriate
structure, embrace intellectual challenge, and contribute
positively to our learning community. That said, Knox works best
for students who can engage independently with support, rather than
those who need continuous 1-on-1 redirection. Our model is built
around fostering self-direction and intrinsic motivation, so we
look for students who are ready for that journey, even if they're
still developing those skills.
