A HISTORY OF OUR SCHOOL
In 1992, Prentice purchased a 6.6 acre campus in Central Orange County that includes 20 classrooms, auditorium, sports fields, playgrounds, central quad, and blacktop.
In 2001, we built our Academic Enrichment building, adding an Elementary and Junior High Science Lab, Art room and 4 Small Group classrooms. We also added our Main Administration building.

- AMPLIFY ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS / SOCIAL STUDIES - 50 minutes per day in a leveled small group
- WRITING - 50 minutes per day in a leveled small group
- MATH - 50 minutes per day in a leveled group
- ELEMENTARY SCIENCE/PHYSICAL EDUCATION /ART -As full classes, integrated throughout the week with speciliast teachers
- SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL) - 50 minutes / one day per week with our on-site licensed Marriage Family Therapist.
- MIND MASTERS - 20 minutes per day Working Memory Cognitive Training program
JUNIOR HIGH PROGRAM (GRADES 7 - 8)
When your child attends Prentice's Junior High program (grades 7 -8), they receive:
- AMPLIFY ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS / WRITING - 50 minutes per day in a leveled group
- HISTORY - 50 minutes per day in a leveled group
- WRITING -50 minutes per day in a leveled group
- MATH - 50 minutes per day in a leveled group
- JUNIOR HIGH SCIENCE LAB - 50 minutes per day in our Junior High Science Lab in a leveled group
- PHYSICAL EDUCATION - 50 minutes / three days per week with a our PE teacher
- SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL) - 50 minutes / one day per week with our on-site licensed Marriage Family Therapist.

All enrolled students at The Prentice School receive licenses for:
- Learning Ally - High quality, human-read audiobook system designed for students with language-based learning disorders. Books are presented in a format struggling readers can easily absorb, allowing them to achieve their academic potential.
- Google Education - All coursework is assigned and managed through Google Classroom for easy visibility, collaboration with teachers and access to our Assistive Technology tools.
- Don Johnston Snap&Read - The Snap&Read toolkit is built into Chrome to help students comprehend everything they read with tools to assist reading, organize information, and annotate PDFs.
- Don Johnston Co:Writer - Co:Writer is built into Chrome and uses grammar-smart and vocabulary-smart word prediction, translation support, and speech recognition to help students with writing.
