Young Mind Community Center is an inclusive preschool program that brings together the best of two worlds: excellence in early childhood education and clinical expertise in autism to provide a comprehensive, transdisciplinary approach that delivers the best possible outcomes.
Every classroom is led by a highly qualified and experienced
teacher. In addition, our transdisciplinary team, which includes
Board Certified Behavior Analysts, provides supports that address
the needs of children and families in a broad-based and coordinated
way that make greater progress toward common goals. Our programs
utilize developmentally appropriate practices, which provide an
optimal balance of adult guided and child-guided experiences,
complexity and challenge of activities, learning formats and
contexts, and indoor and outdoor learning time. We provide
high-quality instruction and interventions matched to children's
needs, address the role of the environment as it applies to
development and improvement of behavior problems, and monitor
progress in ongoing, strategic, and meaningful ways to improve
teaching and learning. Our program focuses on building strong
foundational skills in the area of communication, social/emotional,
play, cognition, self-help, and physical development. In addition
to developmental milestones, special focus is dedicated to
prerequisite and "ready to learn" skills, such as attending,
listening, and social skills. We ask all families who are
